However unlike the i7+ and other top-rated robots we test, the i3+ doesn't have a feature for avoiding obstacles and therefore it could get stuck on things such as socks or power cords, and may have issues navigating across surface transitions like from hardwood to rug.
iRobot recommends you clear out areas in which the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, and include clearing out any clutter or toys it might encounter. Its main advantage over the eufy, is its self-emptying dustbin that eliminates a major cause of maintenance and reduces recurring costs.
We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot to start or stop cleaning sessions as well as move around the room and even vacuum a specific area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was easy and straightforward through the iRobot Home app. Once connected we were able to communicate with the i7+ using voice commands such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options for managing i7+ settings and monitoring the performance.
